Well, I sit here typing on my last official night of summer vacation (*crocodile tears*). It has been such an AMAZING summer, and we really haven't done much.....no major trips, no long travels, just a lot of relaxation and family time. We did, however, watch a TON of movies!! Nora and Daddy are absolute movie buffs - they will watch anything, any time, and tune the rest of the world completely out. Nora once stayed up ALL.NIGHT.LONG watching movies on the couch, unbeknownst to her parents.
Anyhoo, we decided to hit up as many of the $1 movies as we could this summer!! We would travel to the Arbor Place movies on some Wednesday mornings, and the Carrollton movies on some Thursday mornings (we liked Carrollton better because they also had popcorn and slushies for $1.50....SCORE!!) We saw movies like:
Annie
The Lego Movie (which was my favorite, surprisingly)
The Nut Job
How to Train Your Dragon 2
Penguins of Madagascar (so glad that Daddy got to come to this one!!)
While the $1 movies were GREAT and easy-on-the-pocket, we made a few other movie-excursions. Nora was fortunate to attend the Minion Movie Premeire with some of her BFFs for her dear friend's, Faryn's, birthday party:

We were very anxious to see Inside Out (SUCH a cute movie!!), so we headed to the Starlight Drive-In to watch it:

The drive-in is one of my all-time favorite places. But, our neighborhood beach is pretty cool, too!! They show a movie once a month on the beach, so we got to watch Boxtrolls in the sand!! Of course, we had to do a little "strolling" and cartwheels first:

Though we journeyed to many places to watch our summer movies, the BIGGEST movie fiasco took place within our very own living room. Teen Beach Movie 2 premiered on the Disney Channel a few weeks back, and it was just the biggest deal EVER!!
We had to decorate the living room with beach balls, floats, and cabana lights:

Claira is jamming to that schtupid song that I'm sure every pre-teen girl knows...."And now I'm fallllllin' for ya, fallllllin' for ya." Stays in my head for days.
We've only watching Teen Beach Movie 2 about 5,753 times since the premiere.
Now, we're awaiting the premiere of Descendants that premieres on the Disney Channel this Friday:
Can't wait to curl up with our popcorn and peanut M&M's!!
Adios, summer!! I truly hate to see you go. I will miss our lazy days of movies!!
