Daddy has been on "stay-cation" all week long, and it has been such a blessing and a BLAST. Our goal was to "have as much fun as possible while spending as little money as possible." We accomplished our goal by only spending a total of $67 for the whole week........until yesterday!! We decided to splurge a bit and take a day-trip up to Helen, GA, our favorite little Alpine Village:
Heading over to find some lunch (where I ate the best Reuben sandwich in the universe), and take some fun photos:
The girls were a bit freaked by the "human statue" (me, too, honestly):
CANDY STORE!! Day was made!!
Doing a little shopping:
Our favorite purchases were some mood rings and cross earrings which Ella refers to as "Jesus Jewelry." :)
Nunchuck skills:
They also bought these little fans. IT WAS HAWT!! (Claira brought her fan to church this morning and waved it all through the service like she was fancy.)
Watching the fun dance party in the Biergarten (and Clairy fanning Daddy with her fancy fan). :)
Checking out the Christmas Shoppe!!
"No, we cannot buy the $186 nativity scene. I promise Jesus is cool with that."
No better way to beat the heat than with some mountain ice cream!! Rainbow vanilla for Ella....
....chocolate chip for Nora....
.....and chocolate mint for Claira.....
....but they share!!
Before heading home, we stopped by a granary that beautifully named "Nora Mills" :)
We bought a few things with the "Nora" packaging on it including corn mill (for the fried green tomatoes...duh), some honey, and some soft peppermints (that are already gone.....Daddy devoured the whole pack within about 20 minutes. What a wank.)
We also visited Anna Ruby Falls (blog coming soon), and enjoyed our HOTTTTT day together!! Such a fun family getaway for the day:
Cheers to Alpine Fun!!!
