Father's Day '16!!

Father's Day was extra-special for Daddy this year because it was also his birthday!! A double-special day for a TRIPLE-special Daddy!! We celebrated the day before (Saturday), with the family at Grandmommy's & Paw's:

Ice-cream cake....is there any other option??
Singing to the birthday boy:
Sharing with Paw:
The little Nezlets snuck away for a little bit to "play," and came back with a homemade banner, cards, and flowers (off of Grandmommie's hydrangea bush - HA!) to celebrate the fathers that make our world go round. So precious!!
Little minion:
The next morning (actual Father's Day/birthday), we had coffee on the porch while the girls gave their daddy his presents that they each picked out just for him:
The gifts: a "gone hunting" gnome from Ella, a can of Barbasol shaving cream from Claira, and a knee brace for back pain from Nora, all wrapped up in a Star Wars bag :) Each picked with love :)
Making Daddy a funfetti birthday cake:
The finished product (Claira bakes topless.....just so you know). :)
Since it was Daddy's day, he got to pick what we did all day long, and of course, he wanted to spend all day at the lake....first with a little swimming:
A little lunch at the marina:
My kids eat hot wings like there's no tomorrow:
And, we spent the evening on the boat:
(Clairy's face....she was bit cold). :)
Of course, a daily dance party:
We knew we were done when Claira said, "I'm just gonna put on my glubs (gloves) and go to sleep."
All in all, it was truly a relaxing, BEAUTIFUL day spent with our little family. Happy Father's Day and Happy Birthday to the best Daddy around!!
Little girls need a great Daddy. I think that's why God gave this guy so many :)

Be on your guard; stand firm in faith; be courageous; be strong. ~ 1 Corinthians 16:13
One verse that describes this Daddy to to T. Such a loving but strong man, even when he spends 24/7 with a bunch of hens like us!! We love and appreciate you more than can be put into words.

Cheers to you, Josh!! And to all the amazing daddies!!

A Dozen Years!!!

Two weeks ago, Josh and I celebrated a dozen years of marriage!! And what a beautiful 12 years it's been!! To celebrate, we headed down to Universal Studios - our first time there, and we LOVED it!!
Such cool things to do and see.....like Poseidon's Fury:
Mytho's Restaurant:
Even though we're not huge Harry Potter fans, the Potter parts are rides were the BEST!!!!

Spiderman ride was neat!! One of our favs!!
Shrek 4D
Cathy's Ice Crean (this one's for grandmommy!!)
Jurassic Park
Another park favorite: The Simpson's (even though the ride about made me vom) :)
Inside Krusty's madhouse:
#duffbeer
We found a minion parade:
Look closely: Marilyn Monroe is blowing Josh a kiss. What a flirt :)
Having lunch at Bob Marley's restaurant which is a replica of his house. Just the coolest place ever. We could've stayed there all day:
It's a whole other world at night!!
Mermaids in our resort's Starbucks. Nora would have died.
Another early morning of fun (I think we were the first ones in the park). We are such early birds, it's ridiculous.
Josh doing his old-man stretches while waiting on the park to open:
Breakfast at Hard Rock Cafe:
And we got to sit at the Prince booth!!! Yes!!! Purple Rain with my scrambled eggs:
It was the coolest Hard Rock - the biggest one in the world!!
So glad we got to meet these two!!!!
On the Mummy ride....another time I almost vommed:

More Harry fun!!
Tooooooo much fun in the Harry rides. We were literally melting at this point. It was 102-degrees.
Back to the Future car:
Transformer ride:
E.T. ride - had to get some pictures of this for the girls (they each requested an E.T. and Bart Simpson doll.....as if our house isn't already engulfed by stuffed animals. But, we obliged, of course.)
Having lunch at Bubba Gump's. Daddy found magic shoes:
Happy Daddy:
That's a shrimp.
We also had dinner at Antojitos with the best mariachi band I'd ever heard.

And to beat the CrAzY heat, we spent a lot of time at our pools and lazy river. If I ever go missing while on vacation, rest assured that I'll be in the lazy river:
Meanwhile, back at home, our Clairy decided to stick a dime-sized bead up her nose. Of course, it got stuck, and Grandmama had to take her to 2 emergency clinics PLUS the emergency room before getting it dislodged. I swear....never a dull moment. At least Claira promises that she'll "never do dat again."

Before ending, I must add our extreme love for Orlando. It is one of our very favorite, if not the MOST favorite, places on this earth. With the extreme tragedies that have taken place in Orlando this past week, our hearts have been shattered. Our prayers and heartfelt condolences are with the families whose lives will never be the same. May Orlando, and our entire nation, receive the comfort, healing, and unity that only God can provide.

Cheers to a dozen years of marital bliss, and to the city that we adore so much!!
