On our final day at Disney, we got up early an headed to our favorite park, The Magic Kingdom!! We saved the best for last and made an ALL-DAY event of it!! You will be proud to know that all stayed up passed midnight enjoying the park, which is very unheard of for us early birds. :)
Heading out early!!!
We really loved the Halloween decorations and parades!!
No matter what time of year, the castle is always a beautiful place.
After riding some rides (like my favorite, "It's a Small World"......twice), we took the time to meet some of our favorite characters. First up, TINKERBELL! (You may notice Clairy wasn't in these pictures....she LOVED the animated characters, but said she "don't yike" the real people). :)
So tired.....
Almost gone.....
But a few rides perked her up!! Here we are on the Toy Story ride - that is always a SERIOUS competition. Daddy always wins. Loser.
One of the girls' favorite rides is the "Wheel of Progress" or whatever it's called. I find it rather freaky, and that "Great, Big Beautiful Tomorrow" song drives me bananas because it gets stuck in my head for decades.
"The People Mover" - another favorite.
Getting tired again....
GONE!!
While Clairy napped, we used this time to go an visit another "real" character, ARIEL!!!!
One of the best perks about this trip is that we learned we could use our snack credits to get ANY-flavored, ANY-sized drink from Starbucks!!! Holy cow. Trip = MADE!!!
Enjoying some smoothies at Starbucks.
We came back to the room for a bit to rest before heading back out to the kingdom. Well, there is no resting when these goons get together.
Clairy decided she wanted to wear her socks up to her knees. While it drove me CRAZY, I just let her do it. I have learned the hard way to pick my battles with this child. I'm just thankful she stayed clothed the majority of the time. She DID get naked while playing putt-putt the day before, but we were able to re-clothe her pretty quickly. *insert aspirin here* :)
Some evening park fun!!!
NEON EARS!!!
Since it's close to Halloween, we HAD to ride the Haunted Mansion. The line was a bit long, but we entertained ourselves during the wait...
Playing the spooky piano....or organ....music thing.
The captain, who would sneeze and hiccup bubbles from his coffin. :)
Turns out, after all that wait, the haunted mansion was just a little too haunted. :)
We got to watch one of the fireworks shows. I've said it before and I'll say it again - you have not seen fireworks until you've seen Disney's fireworks!! It's amazing that they provide these every single night.
Most people use their fast passes to ride thrill rides. Not us. We use our's at 10:30 pm to meet Rapunzel and Cinderella. :)
We had a "first" during this trip to Magic Kingdom. We had dinner at 11:00 pm!! I was pretty proud of that :)
Delirious chocolate face:
After having our late dinner, we got to watch the electric parade. It was AMAZING. The pictures don't do it justice at all.
The very last thing we did on our Disney vacation was go and visit the REAL Mickey Mouse!! He talked and blinked, told jokes, and was crazy about the girls' glowing ears. We were all amazed!! I couldn't figure him out. Such a perfect way to end our night!!
And there you have it!! It was such a wonderful, magical trip to Disney!! Though this was our shortest trip, it was very memorable. One that I will never forget!!
