On our second day at Disney World, we decided to do something that we've never done before at Disney.....take a day to RELAX!! Everyone who's been to Disney knows that while it's the happiest place on Earth, it is also the most exhausting place on Earth!! We wanted to enjoy some things that we've never had the time to experience before outside of the parks.
Before breakfast, we explored our resort:
It was such music awesome-ness. Once again, Nora LOVED IT. Here's the country side:
Rock-and-roll lane:
Such a perfect morning for a little stroll:
After breakfast, we headed over to play Putt-Putt in "Christmas-Land."
Our goofies....
.....and our HOT MESS!!!!
Exploring the Christmas fun while Daddy got our tickets:
There is a "winter" side and a "summer" side. We got placed on the summer side which had the best music EVER!! Very Hawaiian-Christmas themed. It made us forget all about Halloween for a while :)
(Where's Ella??)
Breaking it down to the Hawaiian-Christmas music. And doesn't he look cute in my mommy-bag?? :)
Claira's face in these pictures says it all, "Get up, Wanker." :)
Frosty melted:
The South Hole :)
After putt-putt, we cooled off in our resort's arcade before getting lunch.
Of course, Daddy and Nora won 500+ tickets on TEMPLE RUN. They are addicts.
After digesting lunch, we headed over to the main pool to swim for a bit.
MARACAS!!
Such a gorgeous day!!
Claira's new thing. She calls it "washing my hay-er." :)
Nora entered the hula-hooping contest :)
She didn't win the entire thing, but she was one of the last 5 still standing (and the youngest!!) She has mad hula skills :)
After getting dried off and resting for a bit, we put on our Minnie dresses and headed to DOWNTOWN DISNEY!!
Despite our rest, Claira was OUT for the majority of our Downtown experience. Still, it gave us time to shop without "little fingers" reaching out to touch everything :)
The Christmas Store is amazing. The girls touched every ornament, I believe.
Merry-Go-Round :)
Some of their favorite princesses (they got to meet the REAL princesses at Magic Kingdom....stay tuned!!)
Lego Land!! The girls have become a bit obsessed with legos lately. They are asking Santa for some SERIOUS legos. I hope they've been good.
Our favorite lego sculpture:
Heading to dinner :)
We chose to eat at Bongo's Cuban Cafe:
As one would imagine, Nora THOROUGHLY enjoyed the live entertainment at Bongo's:
Boarding the water taxi :)
We are always up for a boat ride!!
Though it was late when we got back to our room, the girls stayed up for a while to play with their newly-purchased trinkets. The last thing we need in our house is small toys. THEY.ARE.EVERYWHERE.
Oh, well. They are worth it.
Stay tuned for Magic Kingdom.....the most magical day of all!!
