On Sunday, we got the urge to visit a pumpkin patch to officially kick off our festive, fall season!! Who knew that there was the snazziest pumpkin patch ever right up the road in Carrollton??? It's called Old McDermitt's Farm, and it was, hands-down, the girls' most favorite pumpkin patch we've ever visited!!
As soon as we entered, they TOOK OFF!!!
Where were they running?? To the playground, of course!! :)
Weeeeeee!!
My little sunflowers :) Growing like weeds.
Daddy taught the girls to lasso. He thinks he's a cowboy :)
Lasso success (after 236 tries) :)
CORN BUS!! Ay-ha....hush that fuss....
The Penny Hunt - Searching for pennies in the hay. They didn't find ONE.....I'm going to need to teach these kids the importance of free money. Do work, girls!! :)
We had a fun hayride around the pumpkin patch and corn field. During the hayride, my throat started bothering me a bit, and I thought my allergies were in full gear due to the hay. Little did I know that it was the onset of STREP THROAT!!! Even though I sound like a man, I'm thankful to finally be feeling so much better :)
More running and maze-ing :)
Josh.....trying VERY hard to be six-feet-tall :)
Children of the Corn
Building scarecrows!!
Such masterpieces!! :)
We like kern.
Good grief. Jethro. :)
Milking the wooden cow. Fun times!!
Nora's face....
The girls had a BLAST racing the rubber ducks - they couldn't get enough of this game. The things that perk these girls' interests is hilarious. :)
You can tell by Nora's face that this is hard-core competition!!
We never miss a petting-zoo opportunity!!
Tina, the Fat-Lard. :)
Clairy totally bombed Daddy's game of "Corn Hole".....she decided to just go STAND in the hole. That's our girl. :)
Such a great place to make neato pictures!!
Before leaving, the girls played in the "kernel box." It's just like a gigantic sandbox, but filled with corn kernels!! Such a cool idea!!
Pull your pants up, kid. (Hey, at least she stayed clothed!!)
Such a fun, festive day with our family!!
Fall is here!!! Fall is here!!!
Cheers to pumpkin-flavored EVERYTHING!!!!!!
