A Summer Wrap-Up

I guess since summer is almost officially over (*tear*), I should do a little wrap-up so we can move onto FALL. Basically, it rained a lot this summer. Like, A LOT. The entire month of July. It really rained. But thankfully, we were able to squeeze-in some fun throughout the crazy rain!!

4th of July Fireworks

We were able to watch a little 4th of July fireworks while the rained ceased for 20 minutes. Jason, Lindsay, Rhett, Halle, Matt, Anna, Lilah, and Matthew came over so we could enjoy some fireworks during our moment of dryness:

Finally, the show began. This was basically the first and only picture of the fireworks. After that, it was really just a big puff of smoke from all of the humidity of the month-long monsoon. Still, groovy time with groovy people at the Fairfield beach!! :)

 Faryn Bella's Birthday

We also visited one of our favorite places, Chuck-E-Cheese, to celebrate the birthday of one of our favorite friends, Faryn Bella!! Thanks to Marla for sharing these pictures with us!!

 Fun Times with Old Friends

We also got to spend some time with some of my oldest friends!! A few of our old pals traveled over to Debra Lea's BEAUTIFUL house to spend some time together. Sadly, we only got a few group pics because we were man-handling the abundance of children.....and as you can tell, they were a hand-full!! My, how we have multiplied!!! 

Matthew's 1st Birthday Party

Finally, we celebrated Matthew's first birthday. I really cannot BELIEVE how fast this year has passed. It's bananas. Thanks to Anna for sharing some of these sweet pictures with me. For instance, Matthew lovin' on Clairy (this might be an all-time fav!!) 

Matthew loves his Uncle Josh, too (me, not so much.....but give it time....I usually turn out to be everyone's favorite!! HA!) :)

So despite the ridiculous rain, we were still able to pull off a fabulous summer break. For the "grand finale," I'll leave you with a little "end of summer video" that I took of Claira yesterday.
