Tybee Throwback!!

As you saw from our last post, we recently went to Tybee Island for a little getaway before school resumed. I thought I would post a "Tybee Throwback" to catch-up on a memory. In 2011, we went to Tybee with some of our BFF's: The Jordans!! This was well before Claira and Halle came along!! Nora was 5, and Ella and Rhett were 2. It was a great time with our great friends:

We enjoyed a lot of pool time:

We also enjoyed a lot of beach time!!

We also did a little fishin.'

And practiced being beach-models. Apparently.

And of course, we had a lot of beach fun with our kiddos!!

We also enjoyed time just hangin' in the condo....playing cards and CatchPhrase (which is a game-night I will NEVER forget!!), and we read books about the ocean. Here's "Uncle Bug" reading to our girls (note: Ella was naked then, and still naked now.....girlfriend loves to be FREE!)

Ya know, I get it that Josh and Gub have been friends since like Pre-K or something....

.....but why are they such WOMEN?!?! :) :)

Still, we love them. Family is not always measured by blood. :)

We also did a lot of sleeping...

.....we hit-up the park a few times.....

....and OF COURSE, visited the Crab Shack. It's unacceptable not to.

ONLY Gub would try to poke the alligators with a stick...

Finally time to EAT!!

Caught smoochin' AGAIN!! Open-mouth this time....while eating crackers....not a good mix.

We did a little night swimmin'.....

....where we found a neato frog....

.....but he didn't enjoy our company too much. :(

All in all, it was a goofy-swell time with goofy-swell friends!!

I'll leave you with this public service announcement: always, always, ALWAYS wear your shoes on the beach. If not, the hot sand can give you second-degree burns (my big toe was B.R.U.T.A.L.)
