We're on a Boat!!!

Last weekend, we finally got ourselves a boat!! We've been talking about getting a boat for only a decade, so it's been a long time coming!! I'm sure it may get old eventually, but as of right now, we've been on it everyday for the past week. It's just too much fun!! Enjoy some of my pictures (taken from my phone... Can't quite bring myself to take the camera yet.... I'm too busy man-handling Claira on the boat rides.... She's like wrestling a greased pig!!) ;)

Here's the first picture taken of our new beauty!! We hear it's good luck to name boats, but we haven't decided on a name for her yet. Josh wants to name her "Slice of Life" after the show Dexter, but I'm thinking that wouldn't be the best choice. :)

We purchased the boat while the big girls were spending the night with Grandmommie and Paw-Paw, so it was a huge surprise for them. Here's their first ride.....they absolutely love it!!

Clairy loves it, too!! She's already a pro!!!

We have enjoyed being able to cruise up to the marina for dinner (which has some of the most bangin' hot wings and pizza.....and Josh enjoys the buckets of beverages). :) Last weekend, they had a veteran-band performing Gospel music. It was AMAZING!!!

We also ran into some not-so-amazing critters while going back and forth from our boat. Ahhhhhh!!

The girls' favorite part is anchoring down for a swim in the lake!!

And of course, we also just like to cruise around. That's why we opted for a Pontoon. We have reached a point in our older lives where we are over the "fast and crazy." Slow and steady wins the race!! :)

While Clairy is generally all over the place on the boat (it's pretty much a workout), she sometimes gets sleepy while cruising around.....when she starts playing with her hair, you know she's tired...

....and it will eventually put her OUT (side note - I look just like my sweet mama right here....)

(....but of course, she's much prettier!!!!)

All in all, we are ECSTATIC!! We look forward to making so many memories with our family on our boat with no name!!
