When we first arrived, the girls were soooooo excited just to go and "find our room." I remember myself as a kid doing the same thing.....being THRILLED to spend the night in a hotel room!! :)
Even Clairy was stoked!! :)
The beds were super-comfy.....
....and we had a great view of the lake and the pool (which drove the girls bananas because they wanted to be at the pool 24/7).
So, within 10 minutes of arriving, we had to put on our bathing suits and head to the pool!! (note Ella's dynamite-wedgie!!)
We had tons of fun at the outdoor pools.....
.....and the indoor pools!!
How do you like those neon-orange ear plugs???
Finally, we came in and dried off and headed over to the park. Here's how Claira spent most of the time:
She stayed asleep alllllllllll through dinner: (she loves to sleep on Daddy!) :)
Meanwhile, the big girls grubbed and made fossils :)
Next up was the the obstacle courses. It reminded us of "project adventure" from middle school. :) Daddy stayed by Ella's side the entire time.
But Nora was good-to-go all by herself!!
Here's a little video of Nora doing her first "zipline" (so they call it). :)
We, then, ventured over to the 3D movie, and believe it or not, we were the ONLY ones there!! So, why not turn cartwheels???
We are one fly family with these spiffy glasses on!!! :)
They were airing "Journey 2" which got us super-wet and freaked the girls out a bit, but so much fun!!
The movie was followed by the train ride.
We had to tell the big girls OVER and OVER to keep their heads inside. Big goofballs!!
Finally, it was time find our spots for the big laser show!!
The girls had a great time coloring with their new "magic pens." I remember my Mammie buying one of these for me on every trip we took. It was one of my favorite things to do as a kid.
And of course, we had to have a little "horsey" time :)
No laser show is complete without "light-up" jewelry. :)
Of course, wherever music is, Nora must dance....no matter who is watching:
Here's a video of Nora and Daddy breaking it down right before the big show:
And here it comes!!!
While the laser show has many awesome scenes and music, this is one of our favorites:
The next morning, we had breakfast, took another dip in the pool, then headed down to the lake for a bit:
It was such a beautiful ending to a beautiful little trip with the family. :)
Thankfully, the park gave us 4 more tickets to use anytime this year!!! SCORE!!!! So, be expecting another Stone Mountain blog in the near future!!
Cheers to big rocks!!!!
