Tech Time!!

It's finally FALL!! One of our favorite times of year!! And for us, that means lots of Georgia Tech football!! Our friends often call us "Tech Nerds," and we are PROUD of it!! Josh once told me, "Drew, we are the only Tech fans and Democrats I know. People must like us because we are so good-lookin!!" I think he's right. :)

Anyhoo, we start training our kids to love Tech right from birth. Here's Nora's first Tech attire (and Lilah at 10 months old).

2006
Grandmommie and Paw-Paw were smitten with their first two little "jackets...."

2007
We didn't get to attend a game this year, but Nora learned how to cheer on her team. TOUCHDOWN!!

2008
We got to attend our first Tech game as a family this year, but for the life of me, and cannot find those pictures, and it's driving me FLIPPIN' BANANAS!!! I distinctly remember it because Nora and Lilah looked so cute in their little outfits, and I was pregnant with Ella (Josh and I had worn matching jerseys and his fit wayyyy better than mine). Sigh. When I find those pictures, I will celebrate!!

2009
We didn't attend a family game during this time because Ella was so little during the football seasons, but I did come across this little gem....Uncle Matt is so special......in many ways.... :)

2010
We still didn't attend a game with our newest CHUNKY MONKEY (Ella) this year, but we always represented from home. I love looking at old pictures of Ella.....she was the juiciest, happiest little baby!! :)

 2011
Ella got to attend her first game!!!!!

2012
Our last Tech excursion as a family of 4! This is my favorite set of "Tech pictures." :)

 2013
Finally, we reach this year!! Most of these are taken with my phone (you'll see why in a moment). Last weekend, we had a lazy-football weekend at home with all the grandparents...it was glorious!!
The girls sported their Tech attire.....gold boots included..... :/
 .....and Buzz on the butt.....
.....and of course, I have a sweet little Tech bow, but Claira hates it and tears it out as soon as I put it in (note bow in the floor)....
We celebrated a Tech WIN with a Nesbitt boat ride!!!
So, this weekend, we headed down to attend Claira's first game!! I didn't bring my camera, because there was a chance of rain (turns out, it monsooned!!! Camera would've been water-logged!!)
Since fall is officially in the air, we HAD to stop by Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Grandpa's Breakfast Special hit the spot!!!!
At first, the rain held out (isn't Ella so cute?!?! You may also notice that this dress has been worn in most previous years.....now, it's more of a shirt.) :)
Claira sported her jersey with her Daddy's old football number....
 But, here comes the rain!!!
Clairy thought her poncho was pretty neato!!
Nora is old enough to actually watch the game and cheer!! Ella just wants to know "where Buzz is."
We had to leave at half-time because the bottom fell out!! We all looked like we had jumped in a pool, and my makeup was stunning!! The girls were FREEZING by the time we got them to the car!!
We came home and drank hot chocolate and finished watching the game from our couch. Another Tech win!! :)

Cheers to many football memories, and many more to come!!

Go Jackets!!!

Quick Tooth Update: Adios Tooth #8!!

Sunday night right before dinner, Nora and Ella came running out of the bathroom with a huge surprise for us: they had pulled Nora's 8th tooth!! (Doesn't she look so grown and beautiful??)
Since this tooth-excavation took place in the evening, the tooth fairy was very unprepared to make a delivery. Thankfully, she was able to scrounge up two bucks (half of it being in change). Also, Nora asked recently why the tooth fairy didn't leave her teeth for her to keep. So, the fairy surprised her with a "tooth box" full of her 8 little chiclets!!! She also left a note with strict instructions stating that she can never open the box, just look (who wants to play with old teeth, anyway??)
And in case you missed any of the tooth excavations.......

Looks like Nora will resemble a jack-o-lantern just in time for Halloween!!
Goodbye tooth #8!!
Cheers to our Toothless Wonder!!! :)

We're on a Boat!!!

Last weekend, we finally got ourselves a boat!! We've been talking about getting a boat for only a decade, so it's been a long time coming!! I'm sure it may get old eventually, but as of right now, we've been on it everyday for the past week. It's just too much fun!! Enjoy some of my pictures (taken from my phone... Can't quite bring myself to take the camera yet.... I'm too busy man-handling Claira on the boat rides.... She's like wrestling a greased pig!!) ;)

Here's the first picture taken of our new beauty!! We hear it's good luck to name boats, but we haven't decided on a name for her yet. Josh wants to name her "Slice of Life" after the show Dexter, but I'm thinking that wouldn't be the best choice. :)
We purchased the boat while the big girls were spending the night with Grandmommie and Paw-Paw, so it was a huge surprise for them. Here's their first ride.....they absolutely love it!!
Clairy loves it, too!! She's already a pro!!!
We have enjoyed being able to cruise up to the marina for dinner (which has some of the most bangin' hot wings and pizza.....and Josh enjoys the buckets of beverages). :) Last weekend, they had a veteran-band performing Gospel music. It was AMAZING!!!
We also ran into some not-so-amazing critters while going back and forth from our boat. Ahhhhhh!!
Enjoy a few more pictures....like Ella insisting on wearing a real jacket underneath her life jacket.....only her!!
The girls' favorite part is anchoring down for a swim in the lake!!

And of course, we also just like to cruise around. That's why we opted for a Pontoon. We have reached a point in our older lives where we are over the "fast and crazy." Slow and steady wins the race!! :)
While Clairy is generally all over the place on the boat (it's pretty much a workout), she sometimes gets sleepy while cruising around.....when she starts playing with her hair, you know she's tired...
....and it will eventually put her OUT (side note - I look just like my sweet mama right here....)
(....but of course, she's much prettier!!!!)

All in all, we are ECSTATIC!! We look forward to making so many memories with our family on our boat with no name!!

Cheers to pontoons and future memories!!
(....any boat-name-suggestions are welcomed and appreciated!!)

A Summer Wrap-Up

I guess since summer is almost officially over (*tear*), I should do a little wrap-up so we can move onto FALL. Basically, it rained a lot this summer. Like, A LOT. The entire month of July. It really rained. But thankfully, we were able to squeeze-in some fun throughout the crazy rain!!

4th of July Fireworks
We were able to watch a little 4th of July fireworks while the rained ceased for 20 minutes. Jason, Lindsay, Rhett, Halle, Matt, Anna, Lilah, and Matthew came over so we could enjoy some fireworks during our moment of dryness:

Here's all the babes.....we have our hands FULL :)
Still practicing those CoverGirl moves.... :)
We had fun with some sparklers while waiting on the big show.
(looks like Matthew is holding one here, but I think it's actually Rhett in the background. Still haven't really figured that one out).
Most likely, if you looked up the word "diva" in the dictionary, you might see this picture....
Our set-up....ready for the big show!!
 Super-pals <3
Finally, the show began. This was basically the first and only picture of the fireworks. After that, it was really just a big puff of smoke from all of the humidity of the month-long monsoon. Still, groovy time with groovy people at the Fairfield beach!! :)

 Faryn Bella's Birthday
We also visited one of our favorite places, Chuck-E-Cheese, to celebrate the birthday of one of our favorite friends, Faryn Bella!! Thanks to Marla for sharing these pictures with us!!
 Sweet little BFFs. :)

 Fun Times with Old Friends
We also got to spend some time with some of my oldest friends!! A few of our old pals traveled over to Debra Lea's BEAUTIFUL house to spend some time together. Sadly, we only got a few group pics because we were man-handling the abundance of children.....and as you can tell, they were a hand-full!! My, how we have multiplied!!!

Matthew's 1st Birthday Party
Finally, we celebrated Matthew's first birthday. I really cannot BELIEVE how fast this year has passed. It's bananas. Thanks to Anna for sharing some of these sweet pictures with me. For instance, Matthew lovin' on Clairy (this might be an all-time fav!!)
Matthew loves his Uncle Josh, too (me, not so much.....but give it time....I usually turn out to be everyone's favorite!! HA!) :)
 (no caption necessary.....)
Grandma with most of her grands and greats!!
It's safe to say that Matthew thoroughly enjoyed his cake.....
 ....and his presents!! :)

So despite the ridiculous rain, we were still able to pull off a fabulous summer break. For the "grand finale," I'll leave you with a little "end of summer video" that I took of Claira yesterday. She is showing off some of her new tricks (like her amazing cheese-face, and beating Daddy senselessly):

Cheers to summer memories and the many more to come!!....

...(especially since we BOUGHT A BOAT today!! Holla!!!
