Part of the fun of Christmas is attending all of the recitals and festive performances!! We had many to attend this year!!
Beulah Christmas Recital
First off, the ENTIRE Beulah Elementary student body performed one night in a precious little bilingual recital.
Grandmama Claus!
The first performance was given by the kindergarten and first-grade students. Ella sang her little heart out!! :)
Next up, the second and third-graders performed. And guess what.....NORA HAD A SOLO!!!!! It was such a precious experience that made my heart so full and my head so big!!! :)
Nora kept her eyes on her beloved Mrs. Escobar. She (and we) truly love ALL of our specials teachers, and are so blessed to have them work so hard with our kids.
Thank you so much to Paw-Paw for getting her performance on video!! Have a listen:
All of the teachers cried a little bit (especially her mommie) during this sweet performance. Thanks again to Mrs. Escobar for choosing her to do this solo. It gave her a brand-new confidence in herself!!
Of course, we headed to Monterrey's after this with the fam. The mariachi band performed Rudolf. Such a perfect night, and it was just what our spirits needed!!
Dance Recital
We also attended Nora's Christmas dance performance. Another fun, festive show!! I took this next picture 6 times, and each time, Ella had her eyes closed, so, there you go.
Nora's whole fan-base!!
Their jazz group performed the 12 Days of Christmas!!
They rocked the house!! Once again, after the performance, we headed over to Longhorn's.....do you see a pattern here?? We don't miss an opportunity to EAT!! :)
Performing for Grace
For the second year in a row, Nora's dance group got to perform for Grace Assisted-Living Home. This was extremely bittersweet since Papa got to see this performance last year. Nora mentioned as soon as we got there how she wished Papa could see her perform again. I reassured her that he had the best seat in the house!!
Silly girls waiting for their turn to go in:
(such sister-love)
Here's their sweet little funky performance:
The Nutcracker
Daddy bought us tickets to the Nutcracker this year!! We had a "date-day" with the big girls, got all dolled-up, and headed downtown to the Fox!!
Before the show, we ate at Mary Mac's (once again....FOOD!!) The fried-green tomatoes is where it's at!!
Downtown is COLD in December!!
Checking out the Fox!!
Such great seats!! Thank you, Daddy!!
The show was great!! (I wasn't supposed to take pictures, but I snuck a few) :)
The girls loved the show, particularly Nora who WILL be a performer one day, mark my word!!
Nothing kicks-off the holidays like a bunch of singing and dancing!!
Cheers to musical memories!!

Perfectly Lovely !!!
