As always, Christmas was such a special time!! This was the first year Claira really got excited about Santa Claus, and they were all just bouncing off the walls with excitement!! As usual, we headed over to Grandmommie's and Paw's in our PJ's for Christmas Eve dinner. Right when walked in, we noticed the mistletoe hanging in the foyer, so we had to get some smoochie-photo-ops!!
Clairy loved Grandmommie's round Christmas tree!!
She also loved the FOOD!! Note the grapes in her mouth :)
She also loves her Matthew.....these two are TROUBLE!!
The Nezlets:
Uncle Matt and Matthew sported matching PJs.....twinsies.
It can't be Christmas without a good photo-bomb.
Such fun times with family:
(GOOOOOOO JACKETS!!)
Sweet baby:
riiiggghhhhtt.
Josh is "jumping for joy" because we heard Santa outside (who jumps like that....seriously?)
The kids ran outside to see if they could catch a glimpse of Santa's sleigh :)
Finally, it was time to open presents!!!
Clairy LOVED her Elsa :)
And Matthew loved his Spiderman Mask!!
His Daddy loved it, too, apparently..... :)
Per usual, we had a performance from the infamous "Beef Nuggets!!"
The Beef Nuggets had their personal dancers this year....so graceful.
"Sing, Lea!!!"
At last, the tiny dancers got tired, so where else to relax but Grandma's lap?!?!
After saying goodnight, we headed home to wait for Santa. The first thing Ella did was run to get her reindeer feed that she had made at school. She had to make sure that the reindeer were fed, too!!
Playing with our new trinkets before heading to bed:
Daddy was excited about his new gloves. He's such a male model, don't ya think?? ;)
Applying medicine to Lea's new tattoo.....don't all brother-in-laws do that?? :)
FINALLLLLLLLY, the kids fell asleep so Santa could come. They were very excited to see all of their gifts the next morning!!
It was too warm for a real fire, so the fireplace on the TV worked!! It was a lot easier, too!!
Santa brought Clairy the freakiest baby EVER....but she LOVES it!!
Doc McClairy!!
Playing with the Frozen castle :) (note Grandmama's face in this picture....pure awesomeness!!)
Applying her new make-up to Daddy's face :)
Daddy cooked us a YUMMY breakfast and we lounged, napped, and played all day!! That evening we headed over to Grandmama's house for some more family fun!! Of course, Claira had to bring her Doctor's kit to assess everyone's health :)
This time, we were entertained by the Christmas carols of all the youngins!! So sweet :)
I tried my best to get up and dance after this performance, but I was booed off the stage. Where's Melissa when I need her?? We use to have Christmas performances that would rock your socks. We should have been famous, really. Anyhoo, since no one wanted to watch my dancing talent, we settled for a mean game of the Minister's Cat:
Mama and her brothers are all CHEATERS!!!!!
Fun times!! Though they are old, they can still have fun. :)
While the adults played the Minister's Cat, the kids opted for Twister. :)
Before leaving, Lea tried her best to remove Ella's lose tooth. It would've been so cool to get a visit from Santa, followed by a visit from the tooth fairy!!
Though the tooth-excavation was unsuccessful, it WAS successful a few days later!! (STAY TUNED!!)
All in all, it was such a magical Christmas. Of course, Christmas is not about the presents under your tree, but the people who are around your tree. We are HIGHLY blessed in the "people" department.
Cheers to "my people!!" Merry Christmas!!
