Hold me closer, Tiny Dancer!!!

Saturday was Nora's dance recital. It was a precious Broadway-themed performance, and our kiddo TURNED IT OUT!!! This child was born to dance!! :) While we ordered the DVD, it probably won't be here for a couple of weeks, so I obnoxiously attempted to snap a picture of every "move:"

The tiny dancers began with their tap performance. Nora was front-and-center!!

Then, they later moved on to their ballet performance:

All of the dancers came out to perform together for the grand finale:

Nora's "fans" greeted her with lots of love after the big show:

We were all so very proud of her.....Grandmama even cried a little. :)

She is just so talented.....and I hate to brag because she's my kiddo, but it's TRUE. We had several strangers come up to us to tell us what a little "star" she is, but of course, we already know that!! She just stands out, and not only because of her killa' blonde fro!!! ;)

I see many taps shoes and twirls in our future!!

So proud of our tiny dancer!!

Mother's Day 2013

Ok, so I'm a little behind on posting about Mother's Day, but being the end of the school year and all of the celebrations and festivities that go along with that, it just got put back a bit. So, I'll do a quick recap of this special day!!

First off, we went to church with Matt and Anna to watch Baby Matthew's Dedication. Since I was taking pictures for Anna, I was unable to get any for myself.....but trust me, Matthew was such a little stud, and we were very happy that we got to witness such a sweet day!! We did, however, get a few shots of Grandmommie at the church:

I think "Paw" is practicing his "sexy-swoon-look" here: :)
Sweet baby loves her Grandmommie....but she was all Paw-Paw's after that. I even tried to take her from him a few times, and she shook her head NO!!! :(
After church, the entire Nesbitt/Blevins clan had lunch at Carrabba's......couldn't get any pictures of that either....I was too busy stuffing my face with Italian-goodness. And afterwards, we headed over to see the world's GREATEST mom!!!! :)
We enjoyed the day by the pool together....such a nice and relaxing time!!
Though Ella is becoming a little fish this year, she likes to wear her life-jacket bathing suit so that she can swim into the deep-end freely "like Nora." :)
While Clairy just sat and watched for while.....
....she finally couldn't take it anymore and "begged" to get in!!! So, we threw her in!! Clothes and diaper included!!
The look on her face says it all!!!
 .....then, we patty-caked....
....and watched Slaten perform his insane cannon-balls. He literally removes half of the water every time!!
I'm so thankful for such a tremendous mother who is also my best friend. Can't tell you where I'd be without her by my side everyday!!
Like a big dummy, I failed to get pictures of myself and my girls on Mother's Day. That morning, I awoke to a huge bag of "goodies" that they picked out for me all by themselves!! They included glow-sticks, fake flowers, a ceramic rabbit, hair gel, and sweet SWEET cards that they had each written me. I treasure all my "goodies" dearly.

And, of course, I treasure my babies dearly.

Everyday is Mother's Day with these sweet blessings!!!

Beulah Braves Night!!

The Beulah Gang decided to celebrate the very last day of school (May 31st) by attending a Braves Game together!! The Braves were actually gracious enough to donate many tickets to our school so that we could all sit together in our own little "Beulah section." Talk about a FUN NIGHT!!! BRAVES + BEES = AWESOME!!! :) :)

Here we are arriving:
We were greeted by a slew of familiar faces. How many BEES can you spot???
We got to sit with Senora Edwards which Nora thought was just SPECTACULAR!!! The sweetest thing was that all of Senora's students would come up and talk to her in Spanish.....even at the Braves Game!! LOVE IT!! Nora thought is was really great to have her friends AND teachers with her!!
Clairy and Ella (and of course, Daddy) had a ball, also!! :)
 We did LOTS of tomahawk-choppin'....
....and we also did the "wave" which would always turn into a dance party!! ;)
Claira did so very well, but finally had ENOUGH by 10:15!! So, we didn't get to stay for the fireworks. But still, such a swell time with swell people!!

Cheers to Bees and Bravos!!!!

Kindergarten Graduation!!!

Kindergarten graduation took place on the last day of school, and yes, I was a blubbering idiot!! I really didn't think it would impact me the way it did, but I simply cannot BELIEVE that Nora has completed her kindergarten year......and what a TREMENDOUS year it was!!! Have a little peek at graduation:

Nora and one of her BFF's, Jewel, getting ready to start the show. The bilingual classes and teachers sported our "Dual Language" shirts for the big show!! We wear them very proudly!!
Saying the pledge...

The first thing the kids did was sing a precious little song to "say goodbye" to kindergarten....I don't think any of the parents had dry eyes...
They, then, received their diplomas...

After that, "la clase de Senora Edwards" had a very special SPANISH performance:

They also performed a play of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" ALL IN SPANISH!! Nora introduced the play, again, IN SPANISH:
Faryn, another BFF, served as the "grand finale" as the beautiful butterfly!! That was a part made just for HER!! :) Faryn is such a little butterfly!!!
Finally, it was time to receive awards. Senora Edwards could not be there that day because her son was also graduating kindergarten at another school. We missed her so, but we fully understood.....I could NEVER miss an experience like this!! Still, we were very happy to have Mrs. Moore and Ms. Eloisa (two of our faves) take special care of us that day!! :)
Nora won several reading awards, dual language awards, citizenship awards, and she received the music award out of the entire kindergarten class. So proud, but that doesn't surprise me one little bit!!! ;)
We are extremely proud of our "big girl!!"

I have no words.....just bittersweetness.

Off to first-grade we go!!!

Last Day of School ~ 2013!!

Unbelievably, the last day of school has come and gone. For us, that means we no longer have a kindergartener. :(
Before I get to the kindergarten graduation (which will be the next post.....it deserves one all on its own!!), I just want to recap a few videos, especially of my sweet baby learning, reading, and interacting in SPANISH which continues to blow my mind. (side note~~Senora Edwards made all of us a DVD filled with HUNDREDS of pictures and music....I wish I could post all of those pictures, but this blog post would literally be a mile long. How awesome is she for doing that?!?!)

Here's one more that's near to my heart. Our music teacher, Mrs. Escobar, brought Nora's class into my classroom around Easter to perform for my kids. That's one of the greatest perks of being a teacher-mommy....I get to watch my baby learn and grow on a daily basis. Such a blessing!!

I cannot stress enough how wonderful this year has been....how wonderful the teachers are.....how wonderful the KIDS are.....how wonderful our school is!! I love that Nora and I (and eventually all my kiddos) are part of this great "BEE-HIVE!!"

Off to kindergarten graduation we go!!!

Stay tuned.....
