After visiting the most gorgeous wedding EVER in Tennessee (see last post), we decided to swing by one of our favorite places before heading back home - ROCK CITY!!
Before checking out of the hotel, Claira had to go around and collect all of the soaps, toilet paper, and shampoos. Mama taught her well. :)
Before entering Rock City, we stopped at the Starbucks across the street. Everyone in Tennessee had the same idea. So, while we waited, we made shadow puppets.....for like 6 hours.
We FINALLY got our coffee and hot chocolate and headed on over to "See Rock City."
Fall is such a fun time to visit:
And our journey through the rocks begins....
Mushroom Rock
Our goofy girls:
It was a little too windy for that wobbly bridge!! YIKES!
Hanging out with the troll-man.
Viewing the 6 surrounding states:
Entering the "Fat Man's Squeeze:"
Looking at the little albino deer - see them way down there??
Rainbow Bridge
Balancing Rock (and balancing kids):
Waterfall view:
Lover's Leap:
The "Rock Witch" with her pipe:
Our very favorite part - Fairyland Caverns!!
Autumn the Fairy welcomed us in:
I have ALWAYS loved the glow-in-the-dark fairy tales. Pictures never do them justice.
Such a fun little trip to one of our favorite little places! Until next time, Rock City.....
Cheers to rocks and fairy tales!!
