Winter Break - 2016 Comes to a Close!

2016 came to a fun close this year!! As always, we were all on vacation for the last week of the year, so we tried to enjoy every single minute:

Movies
We checked out several movies, including the new Star Wars which Josh and Claira were SOOOOO excited about - check out his ridiculous slushie. I wish I would've gotten a picture of Claira - she wore a Darth Vader hoodie and sported it PROUDLY.
We also got to watch "Sing" in our sweatpants - such a cute little movie:
Parks
The weather was Spring-like during winter break (still is - Global Warming for ya). So, we tried to get outside as much as possible.
Even the poor ladybugs were confused - they had no idea it was December!
Claira was so excited about her new "hand-me-down" bike!!
Children's Museum of Atlanta
The Children's Museum was having a "Magic Tree House" exhibit. Josh has read almost EVERY treehouse book to the girls, so we couldn't pass up seeing "Jack and Annie."
Checking out the science exhibits. Nora is such a little science nerd - I honestly don't know where she gets it. It's my least-favorite subject. Ever.
We finally found 'em!! Jack & Annie!!

The Magic Treehouse!!
Just a little selfie with Jack and Annie. I think Daddy was just as excited as the girls!!
Our goofy kids - always "playing the part" :)
She caught a big one!!
A little more science fun for the little nerds:
Ending the trip by milking a cow:
We had to make a trip to Mary Mac's before heading back home. Ever had the fried green tomatoes?? They will change 'yo life!!
Six Flags
We had to get in ONE MORE trip to Six Flags before the season was over. Claira remembered that there is a Wonder Woman ride, so she demanded to wear her Wonder Woman costume. Cause ya know, she is the real Wonder Woman. #pickyourbattles
Good times with Santa and the Looney Tunes (and of course, Wonder Woman):
I got to ride a few rides with my Bobby while Daddy took the other 2 to ride roller coasters.
Daddy and I enjoy the kiddie rides, too!!
A Night in Atlanta
Daddy and I made a trip to Atlanta to enjoy a night painting the town. I tell you what, he's such a stud, but he is NOT a fan of these glass elevators.
Atlanta weather is so unstable. Goes from 80 to -2. Of course, this night it was -2.
We braved the cold to check out the Lantern Festival. One of the coolest things ever!!!
Flamingas for days!! (This one's for Grandmommie!!)
Sweetest tulip around:
View from our room. We were back indoors by 8:30pm and enjoyed 4 hours of Netflix. We are a wild duo:
Happy New Year!
We spend NYE with our pals, the Jordan fam!! We finally got to meet their new addition, Baxter:
Josh loved how his tongue won't go back in his mouth. Like ever.
Gub bought Josh his own bottle of wine: "The Josh"
Our youngins:
Time to shoot fireworks:
Bobby just couldn't hand 'til midnight, bless her little heart:
The rest of us did, though!! We rang it in while watching Mariah Carey's horrific fail. Sweet Lord, what was THAT?!?!
Thank goodness Lionel Richie saved the show!!
#allnighlong
Happy 2017!!

And there you have it!! 2016 was such a wonderful year for our family, and we anticipate great things for 2017. Daddy got some new wheels to bring in the new year. Can't think of anyone more deserving:

Cheers to an amazing year, and the many blessings to come!!

Christmas Day '16

Christmas Day was such a busy, but magical day!! Daddy and I were able to wake a bit early to see what Santa brought! Santa always brings the girls 3 gifts each (since that's how many Jesus got). Clairy scored an American Girl camper, a princess 4-wheeler, and a lego table:
Nora scored a new bike, and American Girl bakery, and a FitBit!
Ella also got a FitBit, a makeup vanity, and an American Girl horse and stable. These girls must've been VERY good this year!!
The calm before the storm.....
Early birds rising with excitement!!!
Of course the biggest kid would love the 4-wheeler made for a child half her size....
We're laughing because we're delirious....the sun wasn't even coming up for another 706 hours.
All-Day mess and play....
They rode this thing for HOURS!!!
I found a weiner in my dishwasher:
Daddy whipping up a breakfast of champions!!
Riding bikes in the warm Christmas weather:
Favorite picture of Christmas Day - pitching a fit because she had to wear a helmet:
She wins. No helment :/ Daddy is a sucker.
Back inside for more playing....
....and driving in the princess car. #babyhuey
We usually take about 137 catnaps on Christmas Day. Best day, but most tiring day of the year!!
After eating lunch with Grandmommie and Paw, we ALL crashed for a while:
Later on, we headed over to "Uncle George's" house for our annual Christmas dessert night:
Lovely, sis.
The girls love their "Bretty-Boy."
Fun chats and laughs:
I don't know what was really going here, but it was apparently something serious:
The youngins:
Mom taught us all how to blow a foghorn. Apparently, she used to torture her neighbors with that thing. What a hoodlum:
We always end the night by saying goodbye to Santa in the window. He's a little bit jolly and a little bit creepy all rolled into one giant doll. :)
And there you have it!! Another wonderful Christmas spend with family. Our cups runneth over.

Cheers to family, creepy Santa, and the birth of our Savior. To Him, we owe it all!!
