Let's Par-tay!!!

As we get ready to say goodbye to summer (and I am sooooo ready.....bring on the FALL!!), I reflect back on all the summer parties that always make the hot weather so fun!!

Rhett's 5th Birthday
We kicked off the summer by celebrating one of our favorite little buddies, Rhett Jordan!! It was so fitting for him to have a pool party....I've never seen a 5-year-old swim like him. Little fish!! :)
Happy Birthday, Rhett!!
Claira flirting with her little boyfriend, Casen. They are exactly one month apart in age. :)
Annabelle's 7th Birthday
Nora got to attend her first ever SKATING sleepover for Annabelle's birthday!! She didn't break her bones or her face, so I'm calling it a complete success!! Thank you to Mrs. Turpin for having her and for letting me steal these pictures!!
Crazy kids!!
Lazer tag!!
Many falls, but not breaks!! WINNING!!
AB and Nora with their matching dollies :)
Daddy's 34th Birthday + Father's Day
We ventured to Blue Agave with Grandmommie and Paw-Paw to celebrate Daddy's birthday. Instead of cake, we opted to have "ding-dongs" for the Ding-Dong (words of Aunt Kristi!!) :)
Happy Birthday, Daddy!!!
That's a yummy ding-dong!!!
For Father's Day, Paw got his own gun-strap!! They are excited to be huntin' buddies this year!!!
The Fox Theater with the Bowens'
It was so sweet of Mrs. Bowen to invite Nora to the Fox Theater to watch "The Little Mermaid." They even treated her to a yummy lunch at Mary Mac's before the show!! My goodness, Nora was in Heaven......and she STILL sings songs from that musical!!
Matthew's 2nd Birthday
We headed back over to the pool to celebrate Matthew's 2nd birthday in early August. Can't believe these babies are growing so fast..... :/
These two are such synchronized swimmers.....or so they think :)
Super pals!!
Happy Birthday, Matthew!!
Blowing her train whistle. TOOOOT TOOOOT!!
The grandkids generally "help each other" open all of their gifts at every birthday party. It reminds me of Ralphie & Randy in the Christmas Story ("Ooooooh, that's mine!!!") :)
Tricycle fun!!
"Forget the toys, we found FROGS!!!" :)
Jumping like frogs!
If you think the KIDS are goofy......think again.
Such a GREAT time celebrating Matthew's birthday!!
Terrance's 8th Birthday
Last weekend, we celebrated Terrance's 8th birthday at Stone Mountain!! Such a marvelous time at one of our favorite places with some of our favorite Beulah Bees!!
Daddy found some "Toe Jam." Um, no.
Super pals, Stone Mountain, age 7/8
Flashback, super pals, Stone Mountain, age 1. Be still my heart.
Checking out the sky bucket thingies. Ella's response: "Um, no way." :) She's just like her Daddy.
Obstacle course!!!
Claira didn't participate in the obstacle course, but she was the best observer ever (AND, she kept her clothes on!!!!)
Fun in the barn!! I got pegged with foam balls about 784 times. Those kids think they're sooooo funny!!
This dude had the right idea.....he slept through a million kids screaming and throwing thousands of balls. He's kinda my hero.
Nora and her sweet friend, Myah (who also is one of my favorite students ever). :)
Ella was sooooooo excited to see her teacher at the party!!!
I was excited to see her, too!! :)
Fun times on the lawn!!!
Of course, RIGHT before the laser show, a storm popped up!! Hundreds of people were running in the rain....it was actually quite hilarious! We've rescheduled the laser show to finish celebrating our Terrance. I forget how much I love Stone Mountain. It never ceases to amaze me!!
Celebrating Grandmommie's & Paw-Paw's Birthday......and of course, our sweet Papa
The day before Grandmommie's birthday, our sweet Papa went to be with the Lord. Of course, we didn't celebrate her birthday (or Paw-Paw's birthday which is a few weeks later) because, we instead, celebrated the life of  Papa. Everyone has their fondest memories of Papa, and they are countless. One of my favorite memories is his love for his RESTAURANT GIFTCARDS!!!
Though Papa hasn't been a healthy man for many years, I have fond memories of him when Josh and I were in high school. I can recall seeing him drive up to EVERY game that Josh played.....whether it be football or baseball. He might have been a bit late, but he would be there.....and always sporting his Eagles attire. Here is he chatting it up with Uncle Robby and Uncle Ed as he did many times at one of Josh's football games. He was definitely one of Josh's biggest fans, and it was evident that he was very proud of him, as he was ALL of his family.
While we miss Papa, I know we all rejoice in the fact that he is Home and once again with the love of his life. Papa passed the day before his 57th wedding anniversary....I'm sure Grandmother had a hand in getting him Home just in time for that!!
Because of the eternal love of these two ^^^^^^^^^, the love of the entire Nesbitt family is strong and deep, and I am extremely honored and blessed to be a part this "Nesbitt bunch."

Since Grandmommie's & Paw-Paw's birthday didn't quite go as planned this year, we winded up having them a little surprise party over at Matt's and Anna's a few weeks ago (Claira did NOT stay clothed for that one). Like a lame loser, I totally forgot my camera that day, but I'm hoping to steal some pictures from Anna and post in the near future!! :) :) :)

And there you have it. A summer filled with parties. That's the way we like it!!

Party-on, people!!!

Lea Graduates Highschool!!

Well, now that school has been in session for about 4 weeks, I realized that I never stopped to acknowledge the fact that my baby sis graduated from high school. I'm not quite sure how that happened since these pictures were taken just last week (or so it seems)......
Flash forward FIFTEEN years later (wait, WHAT?!?!) and here my baby sister is walking down the aisle as a highschooler for the very last time.
Of course, since Lea is a bonified genius like her sister, she actually got to walk the stage numerous times, once for graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA :)
On the BIG SCREEN!!!
Getting an award before diploma time :)
Of course, Claira was just the best little participant ever.....not. Praise the Lord there were a bajillion people in that UWG stadium so no one could pinpoint exactly what child it was losing her ever-living-mind. :)
Up on the big-screen again!! In the words of Mary-Katherine Gallagher, she's a "SUPERSTAHHHHHHH!"
Officially a graduate!!
And isn't she lovely???
It's a wrap!!!
It was such a blessing to see my sister graduate along with so many of her friends that she has been close to all of her life. I was especially excited to see her walk with her best buddy, Chris. He's kinda my favorite. :)
Of course, the class of 2014 is special to me for many other reasons. I taught many of these kids during my first year of teaching over 10 years ago. Here I am with one of my all-time favorites, Cameron. He was my "little" third-grader during my very first year of teaching....he's not so little anymore, but his heart and his brain are just a big as his physique!!
I'm so very proud of my sis. She's now in college studying to be a radiologist. She is so ambitious and stunning....on the inside and out. I'm glad she got all my good genes!!! (I kid, I kid.....sorta.) :)

Love you, seester!! The sky is the limit for you. And if you ever need help with ANYTHING (including your anatomy class), know I'm always right by you in every journey or opportunity that comes your way.

Cheers to little sisters, and to all the COUGARS c/o 2014!!
