Merry Christmas, Darling!!

Now that it is a new year, I will FINALLY post about Christmas!! As always, Christmas was the "most wonderful time of the year." We were blessed to spend it with family. On Christmas Eve, we had our annual "Pajama Party" over at Grandmommie's & Paw-Paw's. Grandmommie always provides the pajamas, and she let Ella pick out the big girls' groovy pajamas this year:
 Adults' table:
 Kids' table:
It's so true....Kids bring out the magic in Christmas!!!
It wouldn't be Christmas if everyone wasn't hanging out by the food table!!
Here's how my two-weeks leading up to Christmas had been going....hacking up a lung with the flu (and my kids being soooooo over it....note Nora's face).
Finally, I was able to get it together for a few family photos with my loves...
And Josh, like usual, needed a personal photo-op of his own!!
 Time to start the singing!!!!
 (and dancing!!!)
Josh thought Matthew was a swell guitar....
Love this one....Nora is singing, "He sees you when you're sleeping...." :)
 Love this one, too.....Ella's breakdance + Nora's face :)
The "Beef Nuggets" are very proud after their annual performance. Let's just say that the apple doesn't fall very far.....
I'm so glad that my mama and sister join in on the Nesbitt fun every year. Since Lea's now a working girl, she had to work until 6:00 (on Christmas Eve?!?!....lame), but they were greeted with music and cheers!! :)
So proud that Mama sported her onesie that I bought her recently!!! One hawt Mama!!!! :)

Ever since Lea was 3 years old, Cathy has always given her Christmas pajamas also. So thankful for some traditions that never change. :)
 PRESENT TIME!!!!!
Clairance was going for the "Cindy-Lou-Who" look this year. Many people have made comments and remarks regarding her straight hair, but I'm still banking on a few curls. Regardless, she's perfectly and fearfully made by our Creator, and she'd be a perfect blessing even if she had a green mohawk!!! :)
Grandmommie with her new canvas of "all us Nez-folk!!"
We had to leave the festivities a bit earlier than usual because Ella accidentally got poked in the ear (hence, the bloody ear in the picture). It's bound to happen when kids bounce off the walls on Christmas Eve. Still, she generally feels better when she just comes home and gets butt-naked, so that's just what she did!! ALL BETTER!!
We still had gifts to swap with Grandmama and Lea....always something to look forward to!! They spend the night with us every Christmas Eve!!
Grandmama strategically wrapped some money in her old cigarette boxes so we wouldn't know what it was. Isn't she the clever one??? :)
Watching "The Christmas Story" Marathon!! Go to sleep, children!!! Santa must come!!
Finally, all the littles passed out. So we shared a few more laughs before hitting the hay ourselves!!
And while we were snuggled all tucked in our beds, SANTA CAME!!!!
All the girls slept in our bed with us, and Nora awoke at 1:30 a.m. ready to see what Santa brought. Our response?? "NO." :) Still, we got up at 5:30 a.m. I can never get enough of seeing their little faces on Christmas morning....
Santa brought the girls all of their requests this year: A sand/water table, an easel, new Razor scooters, light brights, and many other trinkets.....
Claira finally decided to grace us with her appearance at around 7:00. Of all mornings for her to "sleep in!!" (side note, this was the very last day with her pacifier!!!)
She immediately removed her diaper and put on her new cowgirl boots!!
Nora and Ella also got these groovy little fairies from Santa that REALLY FLY!! Too cool!! Unfortunately, they are now already wounded....and bald....and have marker illustrations all over them......but they were very neat while they lasted!!!
Nora has been wanting a new easel for a long time. I love when they leave sweet notes, especially to each other. I also love how Nora made her head a part of this masterpiece!!! :)
I will leave you with a very special performance from us!! I swear Ella has never watched Flash Dance.

Feliz Navidad, mis amigos y familia!!

Te quiero!! MUCHO!!!

Nesbitt Family Christmas!!

It's always a bundle of fun at the Nesbitt Family Christmas party!! This year, we had our annual festivities over at Aunt Leslie's house!! This has been a difficult year for Aunt Les as she has been diagnosed with cancer, but thus far, she has definitely shown the cancer who's boss!!! :) We are blessed to celebrate her this year, and celebrate each other in good ol' fashion Nesbit-style!! Enjoy our fun-ness:
Uncle Rob is always happy-happy-happy with the littles....
 Lovin' on the babes:
And it was soon time for the "Reindeer Games" to begin. Thanks to Aunt Kristi, we always have a jolly good time!! We were divided into family-teams this year, and our first challenge was to turn Paw-Paw into a snowman.....a Mexican snowman. Challenge accepted!!!
 Our finished product!! Olé!!!!
All of the snowmen. What a goofy-lookin' bunch!! But soooooo much fun!! Uncle Rob's team winded up winning this round.
Meanwhile, Clairy had her own game of coloring my pants. Considering this, and the fact that I split my best pair of jeans at school on Friday, I sure hope Santa brings me some new denim this year!! :)
Back to the Reindeer Games.....this one was for the great grandkids. Lily winded up winning which scored ANOTHER point for Uncle Rob's team. Geez!!!
The final game was for the grandkids. In this Rudolf-game, they had to apply vaseline to their noses and attempt to get a red ball to stick to it by flailing it in the air with a string. It was quite amusing to say the least. Josh applied some serious vaseline. He was determined to win this one for our team!!
 And they're OFF!!!
After about 5 minutes of sheer entertainment of the Nesbitt bunch giving themselves whip-lash over and over and over, Rebekah finally got her's to stick, which scored YET ANOTHER point for Uncle Rob's team!!! Lame!!
While Robby's family dominated, our family came in dead-last with ZERO points!! Paw-Paw immediately threw his hands in the air and began chanting victoriously, "We suck!! We suck!!" He was awarded the loser-award.....antlers and a nose that attach to your car (I actually thought that was a pretty sweet gift!!)
We are truly proud to suck so badly!!! :)
 Finally, it was gift-swap time!!!
As always, we missed Grandmother and her telling of "The Night Before Christmas," but her love and presence is always near. I'll leave you with a sentiment of her's that we will cherish forever.....
 I know Grandmother is happy.

While some things change, the love of our family never does.

We are still as loving and as goofy as ever. :)
