My Sissy....The SENIOR!!!

So, my sister is a senior in high school. Wait.....WHAT?!?! I really don't know how that is possible. She was just this size yesterday...

But now she's about to graduate. I really can't believe that. I had the honor of taking her senior pictures a few weeks ago. They turned out just lovely. She's just a purdy on the outside as she is on the inside. I'm blessed to be her big sis. Enjoy some shots of her (Mama and Slaten jumped in a few shots also). :)
Love these by the pond...
Love these, too. She looks like a country singer. :)
And of course, I love the senior-jersey shots!!
She can't pose seriously for too long.....the real Lea always "peeks out" for a moment. :)
Lea is special. A special sister (the "other sister"). A special friend (she always has a TON of friends at the house......never a dull moment around there). A special daughter (never gives Mama any trouble....except for being completely gullible at times). A special aunt (my girls LOVE her....."Lea" was actually Claira's first word). This past Monday, she took my girls to get their nails done and have lunch "just because".......
And last weekend, we all hung out to celebrate Mama's 54th birthday. So many laughs with these two.....
It's great to have someone that I can rely on, but can always have fun with (NO ONE has more inside jokes or understands my lame sense of humor like my sister). Who else could I attempt a "sexy duck-face" picture with?!?!
It's safe to say that Lea has had to deal with an unfair share of craziness and heartache throughout these past few years. BUT, she always manages to come out on top (like having the #1 GPA in her class). She has a heart of gold, and I am very blessed to be her big sis.

Cheers to my "little big sis." My beautiful sasquatch.

Love you, bubba-sissa!! :)

We Have a Biker!!!

We have officially reached another milestone.....we have a bike-rider!!! Nora has always loved to ride her bike, but last month, we bought her a new bike WITHOUT training wheels. Here's Daddy teaching her on her first day of riding her new bike:
The bike WITH training wheels went to E-Bobby-T:
Claira is always a good sport while watching the "bike practice." She even claps for her big sisters. :)
About 2 weeks ago, Nora officially got the hang of it. Of course, I had left my camera at home like a big goober, but I thankfully had my phone!!! Here's Daddy doing a "victory dance" for our big girl:
I really hate that I didn't have my camera.....it was such a GORGEOUS day by the lake:
But the good thing about having my phone was that I got to videotape her awesome skills. Have a look at our big biker (and her goofy Daddy):
What can I say?? So very proud of my tough girl!!

Every little milestone is so bittersweet. We are so proud of our big girls ~~~ all that they are, and all that they do. But each new accomplishment is a constant reminder that time is flying at ridiculous speeds.

So proud of our beautiful biker!!!

Football Fun!!!

Yesterday, we headed downtown to watch some Georgia Tech football!! While it was a bit cold, it was PERFECT football weather! We had a blast in the good ol' ATL. :) When we got there, we tailgated for a bit with Paw-Paw and Tony. I loved our little picnic spot - it was so "fallish," and the Alabama A&M team were playing the best music ever!! I could've stayed there all day!
Apparently, no one was ready for this picture....but I just wanted to get these 3 in their GT attire. Josh was grubbing on Tony's YUMMY ham sandwiches......Ella is still talking about them this morning!!
After eating, the kids ran around and danced to the fun music for a bit....
The girls thought they could play football with the big kids....
Even Clairy tried to get in on the action.
But they soon realized that they are much better off just being spectators. :)
Meanwhile, I had a photo-op with Paw. Gosh, he's so good-lookin' :)
We also played on the playground for a bit....
Who says you can't play in downtown Atlanta??? Equipped with skyscrapers in the background. :)
Even Daddy had a little "play-time." :) He had to teach Ella how to "dangle" appropriately.
Finally, it was time to head over to the stadium...
Always a neato experience!! :)
This was the first time that Ella TRULY enjoyed herself at the game. Usually, she asks "when are we going home" after the first 15 minutes. But this time, she cheered on the team the whole time (she was still more interested in Buzz and the cheerleaders, but at least she enjoyed herself). :)
Clairy is always a little trooper. :)
See if you can spot the photo-bomber.....
Clairy snuggling with Paw :)
The girls were waiting anxiously for Lilah to arrive. While waiting, they also spotted their sweet friends Lucy & Samuel. It was Beulah Day at the game, so we saw many familiar faces!!
Finally, the other half of the Nesbitt clan arrived!! It was a family football affair!!
Paw and his two youngest "jackets" :)
3 generations of Nesbitt Tech fans!!
After watching the half-time show....
.....we decided to go ahead and leave since Tech was winning 58-0. We had to get a family shot before we left.....this first one is so typical.
Finally, we got one of everyone looking at the camera. Who cares if my big girls are making the goofiest faces ever, and my baby girl looks like a BOY because she refused to wear her toboggan?? I'll take it!!

Cheers to fun, family, and football!!

Go Jackets!!!!
