On Saturday evening, we kicked off our Winter Break with a trip to the Lights of Life!! Of course, we stopped by Texas Roadhouse first to eat our weight in appetizers. :)
Here's Grandmama and the big girls in the back seat....snug as bugs in rugs.
Clairy was so excited to see the lights!!
We made it!! Just when darkness fell....perfect timing!!
We loved walking around to see all the sights!!!
My favorite elves:
The ice princess:
The lights were so beautiful. The pictures don't do them justice. Such a winter wonderland!
Showing off her "festive" (ugly) sweater :)
Such a fun excursion!! May your days be filled with LIGHTS and LIFE!!
One of the best things about the Christmas season is getting to watch all of the sweet kiddos' performances!! We were blessed with some SWEET, SWEET performances this year!! First off, the entire Beulah student body got to perform at Beulah Baptist Church last week. It was simply perfect:
My youngin's and I. My world, my everything. It's so funny how different the 3 of them are. I'm so proud of each of them.
Sweet little friends. Intertwined before they were even born :)

First up: The kindergartners and 1st-Graders performed Sleep Well Little Children and Cancion de la Navidad:
Here's a snippet of the performance (thank you, Paw-Paw, for taping!!)
Next up, the 2nd and 3rd graders performed Don't Eat a Poinsettia and Christmastime is Here (which brought me to tears....my favorite Charlie Brown song ever).
Have a little listen:
After the big show, we headed over to Hudson's BBQ for a late dinner:
While we had a wonderful time, Hudson's put us out of work and school the next day.....we got sick, sick, SICK. I don't know if it was the actual food or if we just ate too late, but either way, GAG!! Won't be eating there again for a while.....or ever.
Thankfully, we had recouped enough to attend Nora's dance recital the following weekend. Here she is with her two biggest fans before the big show:
...and a big photobombing ballerina:
Ready for the big show!!
Here she comes!!
Dance along if you wish (the lighting is kinda harsh on the video, but still great, nonetheless). Look for the little one in the green shirt who comes out and flips at the beginning....that's my girl:
You can't have a dance recital with Longhorn's afterwards!!
The wait time was a little long, but we braved the cold....we can hold out for some steak!!
Grandmommie taking a spin in Lea's new CAMARO. #whataloser
Sadly, the dance recital prevented us from attending our annual Nesbitt Christmas Party. We missed our family so very much, but were with them in spirit!! They sent us some awesome and precious gifts that we got to open later on the week. Here's Nora reading a note from Aunt Kristi:
"Secret Sister Club!!" Thanks, Aunt Kristi and family!!!
We loved EVERYTHING!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of our Nesbitt family!! We love you, miss you, and hope to see you all VERY SOON!! xoxo
And there you have it!! Christmas performance success!! "Christmas time is here, carols everywhere!"
